Who created Kvasi?

Kvasi was created by Alexander Bennet Larsen and May Than Htike.

We grew up in different parts of the world, Alexander in Denmark and May in Singapore. Our childhoods and experiences of education were often very different, but over time we came to appreciate the strengths of both. Some experiences helped build strong foundations, discipline, and confidence. Others encouraged curiosity, independence, creativity, and exploration. Looking back, many of the qualities we value most today came from a combination of both.

Before starting Kvasi, we both worked in investment banking. As we spent time with family across Denmark and Asia, we found ourselves thinking more deeply about the children around us and the role technology plays in their lives. We saw how naturally curious children are, but also felt that much of modern screen time is designed to capture attention rather than help children learn, grow, and develop.

Kvasi grew from a desire to blend the best lessons from our different backgrounds. We wanted to bring together strong foundations and curiosity, structure and independence, knowledge and exploration. We wanted learning to feel meaningful, progress to be visible, and technology to contribute something positive to childhood.

Today, those same ideas continue to guide everything we build. Kvasi is our attempt to create the kind of learning experience we would have loved as children and would be proud to share with our own children one day.
